HONOR recently unveiled its new flip phone, the HONOR Magic V Flip2, at an event in China. This latest device combines high-end display technology, powerful hardware, and innovative interactive features, making it a premium smartphone with a fashion-forward design.
Display and Cover Screen Features
The Magic V Flip2 sports a 6.82-inch FHD+ LTPO OLED main screen with a 1-120Hz refresh rate. It offers peak brightness of up to 5000 nits, 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, AI Super Dynamic Display, AI True Color Display, Dolby Vision, and ZREAL Frame Enjoy HD certification, ensuring an immersive viewing experience.

The phone also features a 4-inch external LTPO OLED cover screen with thin borders. This screen supports up to 3600 nits peak brightness and 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. It includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for easy and secure access. The cover screen introduces interactive elements such as personalized themes and nine animated digital pets that respond to air gestures. Users can tap the screen to interact with these digital pets, and additional AI-powered features like One-Click Smart Reply, AI Interpreter, and Magic Capsule are available for enhanced usability.
Performance and Operating System
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. It also includes RF Enhancement Chip C1+ and Energy Efficient Enhancement Chip E2. The Magic V Flip2 runs on Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0.1, providing smooth performance and a user-friendly interface.
Camera Capabilities
HONOR has equipped the Magic V Flip2 with a 200MP main camera featuring EIS+OIS support. There is also a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP front-facing camera. The system integrates the AI HONOR Image Engine, offering advanced features such as AI Super Zoom with 30x telephoto capability, AI Passers-By Eraser, AI Cutout, and AI Upscale for versatile photo and video editing.
Design and Durability
HONOR collaborated with renowned fashion designer Professor Jimmy Choo Yeang Keat OBE for the design of the Magic V Flip2. The limited edition model draws inspiration from a crystal look, while other color options purple, white, and gray follow the designer’s philosophy. The phone can be paired with a leather sling or pearl strap, giving it the appearance of a stylish accessory.
For durability, the device features a 50μm UTG coating and aerospace-grade titanium alloy hinge, allowing the inner screen to remain nearly flat when opened. The Magic V Flip2 is rated IP58 and IP59 for water and dust resistance and carries SGS premium certification for drop protection. The 5500mAh silicon-carbon battery offers extended power endurance and supports 80W Super Fast Charging as well as 50W wireless charging.
Price and Availability
The Magic V Flip2 comes in multiple configurations. The 12GB+256GB model is priced at 5499 CNY (approximately USD 766 / ₹66,860), the 12GB+512GB model at 5999 CNY (USD 835 / ₹72,930), the 12GB+1TB version at 6499 CNY (USD 905 / ₹79,005), and the 16GB+1TB Premium Edition at 7499 CNY (USD 1044 / ₹91,160). The phone is now available for pre-orders and will go on sale in China from August 28.
